I know what is Xcelsius, and I have already use it several times to create dashboards with different connections: Live Office connection, QAAWS or directly with query designer (On a univers or Bex query)
Now, our client want to publish a list of documents on the BO server and display them on a navigator or through a mobile device (Ipad).
To desplay them on a navigator, there is no problem, because we can get all documents through BI Launch Pad.
For the second option, I mean display documents on mobile devices, I have developed a program, using BO SDK, that access to the CMS dateBase, and return the path of documents, with CUID and other informations. CUID will be used to open documents with Open Documents ...
Now, I have to deploy this program like a Web Service, so I can use Xcelsius to access to this program and get informations about desired documents ....
Finally, I will publish the Dashboard like a mobile Dashboard on the BO server, so end users can display the tree of documents and display them ...
Note:
Instead of using Web Services, I can use a DataBase table that will be supplied with information from the program I have developed with SDK ... and create a univers on that dataBase and build a Dashboard on this univers ....the problem is that end users can add and remove and modify documents frequently... si find this method more complecatd to immplement ...
So can any one give me any information about API and architecture of Web services supported by Xcelsius
